Another Washington State tradition, happily developed during the time my Mom lived near my sister, is going to Steamers for the fish. It overlooks the two Tacoma Narrows bridges:
Part of the gaggle. Usually kids take to me pretty readily but James is giving me the "that tall guy looks like he's going to steal my sippy-cup" look.

It's the next day and Sandi and I, still free to explore as the rest of the folks are working, visit the Rose Garden at Point Defiance Park. More on the park here.
