Last Tacoma Day.

On our third and last day in Tacoma, right after my sister got off a little early from work, we had lunch at the Southern Kitchen. Triple-D link: here.

We've been to four or five of the establishments we've seen on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and they're not always what Guy and the show make them out to be. We were a little disappointed in the food but overall enjoyed the experience. This picture was on the wall behind the counter:

Sandi is accustomed to having the camera pointed at her at any and all times and being asked to do something odd. My sister, on the other hand, is wondering what comes after having one's picture taken holding up a menu and peering over the top.

My favorite niece Kenzie is driving the convertible with Sandi riding shotgun:

And later, Patty driving, Sandi still hogging shotgun:

Seen from the back seat, parts of Tacoma, like all big cities, are on the seedy side. We all agreed that since the Country Nite Club was no longer "OPE" we would hit the Smoke Shop. I, for one, have my standards and won't patronize just any old smoke shop. I demand an Indian smoke shop.

Sometimes you come around the bend and see this. As they say, from the ridiculous to the sublime.
