Norm's.

We'd read somewhere about a little diner by the name of Norm's in Groton, CT, and found it literally in the shadow of the big I-95 bridge that crosses the Thames River from New London to Groton. We stopped in for breakfast on yet another drive up to Cape Cod.

There's no addition on Norm's, so they're still cooking right behind the counter. I asked the two cook/waitresses (grandmother and granddaughter) if I could take a picture of them in their shirts, which gave them the chance to tell us that the shirts were ordered with the two eggs and the name on the back but came with the eggs somewhat strategically and humorously on the front. They liked them so much that they now order them that way.

As we were saying our goodbyes the grandmother said, "Hold on a second" and disappeared into the back. She came out carrying a Norm's tee for me! After our vacation I sent them a thank you card and a copy of their picture.
