Skyline Trail.

All right, the truth comes out. The entire purpose of our 3300-mile trip was to get to see a moose...

...and just after we parked at the trail head for the Skyline Trail, we met a cow and her calf. I said, "Here, horsie, horsie" and then, "Mooooo!"

We had heard numerous times that Skyline Trail was the one trail not to miss in the park, so we were really looking forward to it.

Day four and I've already had my fill of scary insects and bugs:

We'd caught a rumor of a bull moose near the trail and, sure enough, the big guy was about 30 yards off in the trees. Close enough for me!
