We drove East on 103 from Black Point, skirted Halifax, and took 102 North, to 4 East, to Cape Breton Island. (Nova Scotia's just not that big, about 350 miles from one end to the other.) We had a very changeable weather day, one minute sunny, the next pouring rain. Within a half hour of departing our motel:

We didn't eat at Ethel's...
...but we did eat at Lobster Treat and, despite the fast-foodish sign, it was excellent!
