Puget Sound.
We are looking out into Puget Sound towards Fox Island. McNeil and Anderson Islands are to our left (south and west) and Olympia, the state capitol, is about twenty miles (as the crow flies) that way. To our right and north is the famous, or more accurately, infamous Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Read about it here, but don't think about it next time you're on a bridge.
