Sandi had never been in a kayak before and approached her first attempt cautiously...

They zodiaked (is that a verb?) us to the shore and we climbed into two-man kayaks. The Sea Lion is in the background.

Sandi sees wildlife. Immediate cries of, "Over there! Over there! Paddle over there!"

Steller seals (named for Georg Wilhem Steller, in case you were curious). The females get to about 700 pounds, the males up to 2,500 pounds! These, thank goodness, were young.
