The very next day we got to get off the boat again (if you haven't guessed, getting off the boat is, um, desirable) to visit an abandoned salmon cannery, where the caretaker was to show us around before we took a hike. Here's what it looked like from the water:

There's four ways off the boat. Docked: right down the ramp. Asea: onto kayaks, or onto the Zodiacs, as seen here. Or simply diving right over the rail when you just can't bear listening to one more blowhard pontificating about something of which he or she is woefully ignorant. And if, again, you haven't guessed, that happened a little too often, and I mean people diving over when I was talking!
