The Bloomsburg Fair always runs the eight days from the third Saturday after Labor Day to the following Saturday; in 2011 from September 24th through October 1st. In recent years attendance has reached between 400,000 and half a million, depending largely on how many rainy days threaten. Because the grounds themselves are only a half-mile long and a little less than that wide and you can get over 100,000 fair-goers—and quite a few of them large, food-loving fair-goers—on a sunny Saturday, it can get a little crowded.
We’ve been there when it’s hot, we’ve been there when it’s cold, we’ve been there when it’s dry, and we’ve been there when it’s wet. We try to go every year now, rain or shine, and haven’t missed since 2001. I like to call it, “the most stimulating place on earth.”

I supposed you've already blocked out a day during this year's fair (Sept. 24 - Oct. 1)!
We should get together for breakfast. Do you have any openings in May?
