Agriculture, horticulture, crafts, baking, photography, fine art, and science project competitions;

High school bands, Elvis look-alikes (and singalikes), jugglers, performing dogs, especially Dock Dogs, karaoke competitions, all kinds of singers and singing groups, including top-shelf (mostly country) acts, a freak show, a petting zoo, Buffo, the World’s Strongest Clown, The California Hell Riders, harness racing, a demolition derby, helicopter rides, motocross, tractor pulls, every different kind of pitchman, huckster, and traveling salesman selling everything from chamois cloth and foot-massagers to vegetable slicers and vacuum cleaners, unshaven, chain-smoking pitchmen for unwinnable-games, and a clinking, clanking, clattering collection of caliginous junk otherwise known as the Reithoffer carnival rides, or just The Midway (Typical disclaiming notice: “Management is NOT responsible for severed limbs or any other kind of permanent injury.”);

Fried vegetables, baked potatoes, potato pancakes, gyros, hot dogs, chili dogs, corn dogs, hot sausage sandwiches, roast beef panini, hamburgers, french fries, steak sandwiches, pizza, tacos, turkey legs, chicken tenders, chicken waffles, barbecue, blooming onions, crab cakes, clam chowder, oyster stew, and hoagies;

Caramel apples, ice cream, doughnuts, lollipops, cinnamon buns, cotton candy, apple and peach cobbler, popcorn, waffles with ice cream, funnel cake, fudge, pies, and taffy;
