Sandi. Canoe. Results: predictable.

We rented a canoe at the Goose Hummock shop right on 6A in Orleans and headed up into Nauset Inlet, a vast area of marshes, grasses, hummocks, inlets, channels, birds, and fish that eventually leads, if you have more time and energy than we did, to the Atlantic. A beautiful day but warm, and after three hours or so of paddling, getting lost, scraping bottom as the tide went out, and me yelling at her to stop splashing me, we were toast.
