The Love Of My Life.

To now I've mostly kept to my general rule of posting only photos I've taken myself, and probably 99% have been mine. But I just love these photos--and the people in them--and I'm breaking my rule. They came from the great Glass archive of embarrassing, revealing, and touching photographs to which I had access when we celebrated Larry and Lola's fiftieth wedding anniversary and did a slide show.

Here's Lola carrying Sandi; she doesn't look nearly as scared as she should. The calendar behind her says November, 1955. One month to go!

Sandi, three weeks old.

Have you ever seen a prettier woman in your entire life than Lola Jean at 25? Gorgeous. She is pretty to this very day. Easter Sunday, 1956.

Lola and a pretty smooth guy, Round Meadow Lane, Hatboro.

She's looking a little comfortable behind bars, isn't she? Wildwood, NJ, maybe 1957.

Sandi, Beth, and Clif; sadly, Sandi never wholly recovered from having to share her Mom and Dad with her siblings. And Clif  is already showing the ill-effects of putting up with two older sisters.

Sandi at ten. In my computer these last two were titled, "Awkward Period, Knotts Berry Farm, 1965"...

and, "Awkward Period, Submarine, 1965." Any added comments would only seem gratuitously cruel, and I will not yield to that great temptation.
