We love Cape May. One year we took advantage of Congress Hall's off-season offer of two nights for the price of one plus two breakfasts in the Blue Pig, and now we're hooked and try and go every year. From March, 2010...
We got take-out --cooked take-out-- at the Lobster House,
enjoyed our coffees in the fireplace lounge off the lobby,
took walks in the rain,
and looked at the Victorian houses.
We attempted to take a scary self-portrait in the room,
visited Helen,
bought a bag of malty-eggs at the Fudge Kitchen,
and ate them in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn of the hotel.
We walked on the mall at sunset,
passed the hotel where we honeymooned in 1982,
and came in after dark.
And the morning of our last day, we went to Uncle Bill's for breakfast. Not a diner, but good.
