All right, it's not a diner in the traditional sense, but we're not legalistic anymore now that the Prozac has taken effect and tempered our shared obsessive-compulsive disorder, and Hot Dog Johnny's in Buttzville, NJ, is worth the digression. It sits on a very pretty spot on Route 46, right on the Pequest River about five river-miles from where it flows into the Delaware in Belvedere. When we take one of our "let's go up in the mountains" trips, we hit Johnny's every third or fourth time. These first two photos were taken probably ten years ago.
