West Coast, PEI.

We drove 230 miles along the westernmost shore of Prince Edward Island, in Prince County. This is West Point Lighthouse:

It was, in a word, windy.

We are looking out into the Shediac Valley area of Northumberland Strait in the Gulf of St Lawrence, between Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. It's protected spawning and nursery grounds for cod, yellowtail flounder, skate, and lobster.

Farming and fishing. And, I suspect, in the winter, which goes from, say, mid-September to the end of May, drinking.

Stocking up for those long, cold days and, especially, nights:

A wind farm at the northwesternmost tip of the island:

Those crazy Canucks again. THIS is your warning, your only warning. Ignore it and, on your way down, as the cliffside flashes by and the rocks and waves rush towards you, you'll be wishing you'd finalized your funeral-hymn choices and made them more clearly known to your spouse.
