Partridge Island.

Just three miles or so from Parrsboro sits Partridge Island (because of the Saxby Gale, no longer an island except at the highest of tides), a peninsula of land that juts out into the Minas Basin of the Bay of Fundy. We were there at low tide, during which you can explore the marsh and sandbar.

A fish fence (my phrase); it was hard to judge its size and the pictures tell you nothing. My guess: 200 yards long.

Changeable Nova Scotia in September: as in the Pacific Northwest, if you're not fond of the current weather, just wait five minutes. Maybe you'll like the new weather.

Here comes the tide, and the sun.

We seem to run into a lot of weddings.
