Beautiful PEI.

As you can see, we continued to experience lousy, hurricane-like conditions as we traveled the All Weather Highway from Greenwich to our motel near Cavendish, Pei.

"Hello" from same:

We stopped at a little grocery store before heading to the motel and saw this along the way:

The Anne Shirley Motel; we are in the area where Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of "Anne of Green Gables" was born and raised. By this time of the year (September 7th) much of Canada has cashed the season in and started the battening down the hatches for winter. The clean and spacious room was only thirty toonies, three loonies, and a partridge in a pear tree*.

*that's approximately $4,300 in real American money.
