Silver Falls.

Entiat, Washington is situated in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains where, oddly enough, the Entiat River enters the Columbia. On the morning of our second day, before the arrival of the hoi polloi, Tom, Sandi, and I drove thirty miles up the Entiat, still flowing heavily even in July, to Silver Falls. Totally, indescribably beautiful; my pictures are wholly inadequate.

We had to stop at the facilities before starting up. Sandi and are in heavy negotiations regarding a month of, as the folder is called, "potty pix". She's learned to come out smiling.

Brothers. I was second and Tom was fourth; I'm about six years older. You know--and one sees this all the time--it's hard when one sibling is better looking, smarter, or taller than the other...and I think it's tragic that I only got taller.
