It's after dark, people are wearing shorts, and the ground is dry: Magic Time (see 5/26 post).
Like everything else everywhere, things change, some for the good and some for the not-so-good. The only ride we've ever missed seeing is Flip 'N Out--I guess they had to put it in mothballs after that kid got flipped out of his seat and landed in Dunk-the-Clown's water tank, or maybe it was that woman who actually flipped out halfway through the ride and had to be taken off the grounds in a straight jacket.
Here's a link to video to give the flavor of the ride. You have to be there hearing the screams and the cries, and Smash Mouth's Allstar or Chumbawamba's Tubthumping at ear-damaging volume, to get a real feel for the experience. Sandi ("I'll try anything once"), against my admonitions and, as it turned out, her better judgment, got on with the rest of the kids. I hate being a scaredy cat next to my own spouse, and I am impressed by her spirit of adventure, but at least I got to eat something the rest of the day.
