Buffo hasn't been at the fair the last few years and that's a real shame. He is truly entertaining; inviting kids up on stage and (good-naturedly) embarrassing them, riding a unicycle and walking a tightrope, tearing a phone book in half, singing goofy songs, and juggling all kinds of objects, all while chattering incessantly. One year Sandi and I were driving home after a long day at the fair and puzzling over the feeling that we'd run out of time to see and do all the things we're accustomed to seeing and doing in a day. It occurred to us that--(Duh!)-- you can't sit through Buffo's show FOUR TIMES and still do everything else!
Of course, when Buffo juggles an apple, an egg, and a bowling ball he's supposed to take a bite from the apple but--oops!--bites the egg instead:
