As everyone knows from Mr.Cameron's junior-high biology class, the mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of the fungus.*

And they're pretty, too.

*I confess that, like eighth-graders everywhere, I took the definition from the encyclopedia, or to be precise, the Wikipedia; in pre-internet 1964, the teacher got it from the encyclopedia and gave it to us. And may I take this opportunity to offer belated apologies to Mr. Cameron; upon hearing him define thus the 'shroom, we were compelled to egg his house a second time.
