Flying Horses.

We've been a couple times to Martha's Vineyard via the Island Queen ferry from Falmouth. The first time we took the bus tour around the island and then walked around Oak Bluffs; the second time spent the whole day just exploring the marina, the gingerbread cottages, and the shops, eating in funky restaurants and bakeries, and riding one of the oldest merry-go-rounds in the United States, moved to Oak Bluffs from Coney Island in 1884.

Sandi truly enjoyed playing with the other kids, grabbing at the brass ring, and shooting for the Guiness "Consecutive Merry-Go-Round Rides"  record. As you might guess, it's usually a five-year-old who has to be dragged kicking and screaming off the horses, so it caused quite a stir when the tantrum thrower was so clearly an adult. I calmed her down with ice cream.
